Spicy Tomato Salsa

I couldn't find a zesty tomato salsa that I liked, everyone that was shop bought tasted bland, so i decided to make my own. Recipes on the internet seemed lacking somewhat in taste and freshness. This recipe is similar to what you can buy in a pot, but is far nicer. It was made as an accompaniment for the Spicy Falafels.


  • 180 grams Fresh Vine Ripened Tomatoes

  • 1/2 Small Red Onion

  • 2 Teaspoons of Tomato Puree

  • A Liberal Dash of Red Wine Vinegar

  • 2 Garlic Cloves

  • A Ramakin of freshly chopped flat leaf Parsley (de-stalked)

  • A Ramakin of freshly chopped Coriander (de-stalked)

  • 1 Teaspoon of Sugar

  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt

  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Paprika

  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper

  • 1/2 hot Red Chilli finely chopped
